Prodigal Private Security

Our Mission

“We are here to ensure that every single person we have contact with is treated with the highest respect, care, and professionalism possible, while always holding the strongest focus on the needs of our employers.”

-Domenic Gallelli, Founder and President

What is Prodigal?

All too often, the word security carries a negative connotation. It either conveys an image of thugs and brutish figures, focused solely on being “tough-guys” with something to prove; or stone-faced automatons, with little or no discernible personality or charisma. We have always disavowed those images, opting instead to create a unique hybrid for ourselves.

We are not bouncers, hired muscle, or bodyguards. We are more than any one title or job description. We are not simply security personnel, we are also:

  • University of Pennsylvania Graduate Students
  • United States Army Drill Instructors
  • Pennsylvania and New Jersey Police Officers
  • Web Designers
  • Special Education Teachers
  • Micro-Biologists
  • Practicing Clinical Psychologists
  • Temple University Law and Medical Students
  • Drexel University Graduate Students
  • Professional Sound and Light Engineers
  • Medical Professionals

Our Vision

We take the acts of protecting the individual attendees and event promotion team, as well as the venue itself, far beyond the simple “stand and watch” ideology that pervades the industry. It is our goal to always achieve a balanced hybrid of presence, preparation, anticipation, and resilience. We treat each and every guest as though they were our own guests, with due care. We create the most peaceful, enjoyable, and profitable environment possible for all parties involved.

Prodigal Private Security was created and built with multiple driving principles. They are:

  • Recruiting, training, and developing the most eclectic, most diverse, and most dynamic group of individuals possible.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of integrity, with a commitment to individual and organizational resilience.
  • Working to cultivate what we know as Customer Intimacy.
  • Focusing on the very human element of what it is we do, and the very real consequences of how we do it.
  • Remembering that all of our actions have a gamut-running series of repercussions that range from financial to personal.

In essence, we focus on a systemic approach to security, a pro-active strategy focused on thorough pre-event preparation with a careful and methodical consideration of all variables, the safety of the event’s attendees, and the constant driver of exactly what the individualized needs and requirements of the event’s producers and promoters presented themselves to be.
